not under law, but under GRACE

Happy Thursday! I just finished my quiet time in Romans 6 and I HAD to share!!! I read Romans 6:1-14. The title, so totally incredible, "dead to sin, ALIVE TO GOD" (!!!!)
The question Paul *rhetorically* posed (that the church had been asking) "are we to keep sinning so that God may continue to be gracious to us?" Paul's answer? A resounding "NO!" I wish I could have been there when he was asked that 😂
God's grace does not rationalize sin. When we were justified in Christ, we DIED to sin. Sin was taken to destruction on the cross, and if we are in Christ, has absolutely no rein or rule over us!
This doesn't mean, however and unfortunately, that we will no longer sin. The regular patterns of our life as Christians is progressive work in sanctification. This results in maturity and conformity to God's moral law!! Our thoughts, actions, heart's desires, etc. are being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ!! We are to present ourselves to God has someone who has been brought from death to life by His power and grace <3 We are no longer under the law, we are under His GRACE. Amen and hallelujah!
Mediate on this truth today and have a wonderful week!
All the love,
Summer Gabrielle
